Project Organisation and Management

The project will be managed and coordinated by a steering group consisting of the project coordinator, the work package coordinators and case coordinators for a total of ten people. The project steering group will be responsible for the overall flow of the multi-disciplinary scientific work.  It will oversee the scientific / technical evaluation and facilitate the communication, feedback, and evaluation of project issues and results within and between work package and case study groups.

The steering group will meet six times during the life of the project, in order to save funds three of these meetings will take place at the partnership meetings in Work Package 2. These meetings will not necessarily be at six months distance from the partnership meeting but meetings will be organized around important transitions in the development of CEVIS products.

The project coordinator will carry out the executive functions of the project as directed by the steering group and the requirements of the Commission. This will include making sure that the required reports are collated, finalized and made available to the Commission according to the contractual requirements. It will also include the organization of meetings, facilitating communication on issues and results between partners as needed, and overseeing the public communications of the project including the policy brief, the web site, the public brochure, and the press releases.

Project meetings will be organised in a way that travel and subsistence costs are kept at a minimum. A mid-term and final project meeting should be held with participation of all contractors and the Commission.

The European Commission will be informed about the meetings at least eight weeks in advance.

The knowledge, intellectual properties and other innovations arising from the CEVIS project will be made available to the public through: 1) Scientific publications, 2) Technical Reports, 3) Reports to the EU, 4) a CEVIS website, 5) Leaflets and Flyers, 6) Computer Software and 7) Data compilations.
