25/5/2007 The Cevis mid-point meeting was successfully held in Pasaia in Spain from 21-25 May 2007. The meeting was attended by a large number of participants from the CEVIS partnership. The meeting was primarily dedicated to 1) absorbing and reflecting on the insights generated by the work carried out under work package 3 (International Cases), and 2) planning for work packages 4 to 7 (dealing with European Test Cases).

28/9/2006 Several CEVIS partners attended the CIEAF in Bergen from 26-28 September 2006. The conference brought together scientists, government administrators, fishery industry representatives, NGOs and other interested parties to review concepts and address implementation issues related to applying the ecosystem approach to fisheries (EAF), to exchange experiences made and constraints encountered so far, and to identify strategies and best practices that will facilitate further implementation. CEVIS folders were made available to the conference attendees and a CEVIS WP3 workshop was held at the Institute for Marine Research in Bergen after the conference.

15/5/2006 The CEVIS project leaflet is completed.
   
26/4/2006 Project Coordinator Doug Wilson presents the CEVIS project at the combined meetings of the ICES Working Group on Fisheries Systems and the Informal Cluster Workshop related to the EU Fifth Framework projects EASE, PKFM and FEMS.
