The advisory board consists of seven
renowned scientists, who take a central role in evaluating
the regime-level innovations. However, these people are not
directly involved in the case studies; indeed their
participation is restricted to attending the WP2 meetings.
The advisory board are all scientists, but in
addition to fisheries academics of global stature, several
of them work within stakeholder groups: one works with the
fishing industry in a co-management structure directly
related to one of our IEF test cases; another is the
director of a marine conservation organization; and a third
plays a central role in the EU fisheries advisory process.
The following people have agreed to serve on
the CEVIS advisory board and to lend their expertise to the
development of the IEF:
Dr. Denis Bailly
(University of Western Brittany) Dr.
Stephen Cunningham (IDDRA) Mr. Hans Lassen
(ICES) Dr. Bonnie J. McCay (Cook College, Rutgers
State University) Dr. Nathalie Steins (Dutch Fish
Product Board) Mrs. Niki Sporrong (The Fisheries
Secretariat) Mr. David Symes (English Nature)
